Quotes from Susie's article > (all quotes by Susie Bubble www.stylebubble.co.uk)
"The thing about Eye of the World's pieces is the finish which is pretty immaculate - smooth edges, perfectly sanded down and aligned with perspex - they're also fastidious about presentation creating their own boxes and neoprene soft covers" .....
"Using a lot of reclaimed wood to create these structures that I can only describe as waist jewellery".....
"The Eye of the World can take this signature of wooden accessories and expand into many verticles - wooden bags, belts, hats..."

Press Release
Aw’11 collaboration with Knitwear Designer Brooke Roberts
For AW’ 11 the Eye Of The World Designs accessories collection (in collaboration with knitwear designer Brooke Roberts) continues to use natural materials, primarily wood, to create one off accessories. Touching on inspirations of Pierre Cardin, and Paco Rabanne from the 60s; recognisable classics in design which were fresh and modern at the time and translate beautifully into present day knits and accessories - The smooth metallic surfaces and defined sharp shapes transform into wooden sculptured buckles with dramatic effect, blurring the boundaries between interior design and high fashion. Materials used include reclaimed wood of the highest standard eg. a 1950’s Butterfly display case from The Natural History Museum London UK, man made Perspex, high quality metal buckles and PVC.

Eye of the World Designs has captured the imagination of many high fashion teams, in Paris at ‘Capsule’, Italian Vogue showed great interest in the collaboration, blogging the accessories as one of their fashion week favourites, The prestigious British Vogue quickly calling in a piece for their September fashion issue and most recently Living etc blogging that they loved the geometric shapes and use of reclaimed furniture in fashion accessories, The collection was quickly snapped up exclusively for A/W 11/12 at Browns Focus, London.
Eye Of The World Designs is based on quality and hand finished craftsmanship. Each piece is unique, designed and hand crafted in house by our design duo Hope Von Joel and Liam Motyer in Peckham, South London, UK.
Our accessories for AW 11 include Pyramid buckles, globular Target buckles, Jigsaw belts of 3, 4 and 5 pieces, hand finished buttons and wooden hats.
