Press Release  ‘Modern Classics Collection’ Aw’11
(Combined wood Target Buckle, Combined Wood Pyramid Buckle, Block wood Target Buckle all on Pvc Belt)
For AW’ 11 the Eye Of The World Designs accessories collection continues to use natural and reclaimed materials from the UK, primarily wood, to create one off hand made accessories in Peckham UK.
Touching on inspirations of Pierre Cardin, and Paco Rabanne, who’s design aesthetic focused upon sleek modernism and interesting materials and translating these key focuses into fresh, unique accessories.  Our Love of metallic surfaces and defined sharp shapes transforms into wooden sculptured buckles with dramatic effect, blurring the boundaries between interior design and high fashion.
Materials used include reclaimed wood of the highest standard eg. a 1950’s Butterfly Cabinet reclaimed from The Natural History Museum, man made Perspex, high quality metal buckles and PVC.
(4 Piece Jigsaw Buckle on Pvc Belt, 4 Piece (+large red) Jigsaw Buckles on Pvc Belt)
Eye Of The World Designs is based on quality and hand finished craftsmanship. Each piece is unique, designed and hand crafted in house by our design duo Liam Motyer and Hope Von Joel in Peckham, South London, UK.
Everything that goes into the presentation and making of the items in handmade.  (see picture of Jigsaw presentation below)  Susie Bubble of the www.Stylebubble.co.uk describes our process on her blog "The thing about Eye of the World's pieces is the finish which is pretty immaculate - smooth edges, perfectly sanded down and aligned with perspex - they're also fastidious about presentation creating their own boxes and neoprene soft covers"
(5 Piece Jigsaw Buckles, Pvc Belt, Hand Crafted and Flocked Box, Neoprene Bag and Product Info)
In Paris at ‘Capsule’, Italian Vogue showed great interest in the collaboration, blogging the accessories as one of their Paris fashion week favorites. Photos of the Jigsaw belts, Pyramid buckle, globular Target buckle and wooden buttons were all shown on the prestigious Vogue Italia website.
(Block wood Pyramid Buckle on Pvc Belt, 4 Piece Jigsaw Belt on Pvc Belt)
Living etc. quoted on their blog, “We particularly love their AW11 collection………. as the wood they’ve used has been reclaimed from a 1950s Butterfly cabinet and, quite frankly, we love anything with a geometric pattern.
The fashion Blogger Susie Bubble raved about us on her blog "Using a lot of reclaimed wood to create these structures that I can only describe as waist jewellery"... Susie Bubble www.stylebubble.co.uk.
